The initial call to the property was for a raccoon latrine on a fence in York. Raccoon latrines are very dangerous as raccoons carry dangerous parasites in their digestive tract. The reason these parasites cannot affect the raccoon is unknown but if a human or animal eats even a small amount they will be infected with the parasite. It is called raccoon roundworm and can shed eggs by millions a day. The worms will embed themselves in every organ of the body from skin to the internal organs, the eyes and the brain. They will cover the person and when they enter the brain they will cause Alzheimer-like symptoms followed by blindness and a comma. The last event is brain death and the parasite is entierly incurable.
Exterior InspectionÂ
The initial inspection of the exterior revealed a fence that had been defecated on by a raccoon. Raccoons have a tendency to make latrines, however, this does not stop them from defecating in their nest as well. There seems to be no reason for their latrines other than they need to go now and are far from their nest. Why raccoons choose high places to defecate is also a question that does not have an answer.
Initial Measures
The initial measures taken by the technician included spraying the feces down with hospital-grade botanical sterilizers and then removing the feces. Boiling steam over one hundred degrees celsius is used to kill the roundworm. Nothing but heat can kill the eggs. The area is then sprayed again with hospital-grade botanical sterilizers and is then deodorized. While there is no guarantee the deodorizer can sometimes stop the raccoon from coming on-site again.
ConclusionÂ
In conclusion, the area was thoroughly cleaned and sterilized and the raccoon did not return for a long period. The customers were pleased with the removal and were now safe from the dangers of raccoon roundworm eggs.
